Job Description
Responsible for oversight, direction and supervision of the day-to-day operations of globally centralized Accounting, supporting Regional Operations in line with Service Level Agreements and organisation's key objectives.
The role involves direct responsibility for the management of a regionally based team that provides accounting services and support for the regions.
The role is responsible for global service delivery of a financial process for each region to meet company objectives.
The role includes few direct deliverables like reviews, solution providing to the team, etc and will require person to be hands on with System Fund accounting processes.

Define, implement and monitor standards and policies to ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, agreed global procedures, regional business requirements, statutory governmental regulations, and SOX requirements to minimize liability and risk.
Maintain appropriate records suitable for research and internal or external audit in accordance with GAAP, SOX and SAS70 requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile
Demonstrated experience in resource management (e.g. shift and capacity planning), team performance management, recruitment and training.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of PeopleSoft or other enterprise financial systems and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and practices as well as IFRS guidelines.
Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing small to mid-scale projects.
Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating and developing people.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English.
Experience in working as part of a global team.
Demonstrated proficiency in recognizing and resolving problems or inconsistencies in transactions and systems.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of PeopleSoft or other enterprise financial systems and Microsoft Office.

7+ years progressive work related experience (post qualification) in accounting and finance with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position as well as 3+ years managing people
